Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival

The Grand Lake Stream Folk Arts Festival is held on Come to the ballfield in "downtown" Grand Lake Stream, in Downeast Maine for The Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival. Browse the work of 50+ artisans who often demonstrate hand-crafted works under the tents. The entertainment includes folk, Celtic, and bluegrass music. There are special displays of quilts and Grand Laker canoes, along with educational exhibits. There's plenty of food and fun for the kids, and (leashed) dogs are welcome, too! July 27-28, 2019.

International Homecoming Festival

Celebrating the friendship between the two international communities,St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada and Calais, Maine, USA. The two communities become one, hosting and attending events held on both sides of the border. There is a street fair, games and activities, concerts, craft shows, and more, concluding with the spectacular Duty Free Americas, Hardwicke’s Fireworks Display! The 2019 Grand Parade will begin in St. Stephen and end in Calais.  August 7th- August 11th.

41st Annual Machias Wild Blueberry Festival

The annual Wild Blueberry Festival celebrates the blueberry with a Main Street parade, fabulous food, crafts and fine art by regional artists, live music, and activities for the children.  August 14-16, 2020.

Eastport Salmon and Seafood Festival

For two days at the end of summer the Salmon and Seafood Festival is held in downtown Eastport, Maine. Salmon Sunday features a Salmon Dinner. Past events included: boat cruises to the salmon pens, nature/birding cruise, the Salmon Race and walk. Cruise the historic downtown area and visit the Maine made craft and food vendors and retail shops. August 31 - September 1, 2019.

Eastport Pirate Festival

The Eastport Pirate Festival is three, fun-filled days in September for people of all ages. It includes a number of events featuring people in pirate costumes, a Pirate Parade and the Great Pirate Lobster Boat Race on Passamaquoddy Bay. Don't miss the festival fireworks, bed race, kids events, live music and much more. September 6, 7 and 8, 2019.

Free Family Fishing Days

Free fishing days will take place on February 16 & 17 and June 1 & 2, 2019. On these days, any person (except those whose license has been suspended or revoked) may fish without a license. All other laws and regulations apply on these days.
